Teams Intelligent Recap notes and task attribution - Inconsistent use of last and first name
Using the Teams Premium intelligent recap feature, we've noticed inconstancies with the use of first and last names on AI generated notes and follow-up tasks. Sometimes it attributes notes/tasks using first name but most of the time it uses last name. What's considered normal behaviour?317Views0likes0CommentsDoes disabling Stream stop access to videos via direct or embedded links?
I would like to know if after disabling Stream using this method: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/streamnew/migration-settings#disable-stream-classic does this also prevent users accessing Stream Classic videos using direct or embeded links?Block download doesn't work when copying files
Hi all, One of our users requires the ability to share several specific Teams meeting recordings from one folder, while restricting download of said recordings. Since May 2021, OneDrive is set to automatically block downloads for Teams meeting recordings. (Microsoft Teams: Block Downloads for non-channel Teams meeting recordings on OneDrive | https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=70543). This works, however I've noticed some strange behaviour and it's not clear to me if its expected behaviour or a bug. In summary, this is what is happening: 1) User created a folder in my OneDrive and shared it with specific people > view only permissions. 2) User then copied a Teams meeting recording using OneDrive (web) to the folder they created. Checked permissions on the recording after copying it, 'block download' is on. 3) User with access to folder opens Teams meeting recording but can still download the file, despite 'block download' turned on. I've done some other testing involving different users, copying/moving files and sharing from different levels. It would seem block download only works when set at the file level AND only if it is the original file. It does not appear to work when files are copied. Another observation I made, if copying the recording via the the OneDrive desktop client, you lose the block download option. If you copy the file using OneDrive web, the block download option remains, however despite being on, it does not block the download. Can anyone shed any light on this? Does the same happen to you? Is it a bug or expected behaviour? Thanks1.1KViews1like0CommentsRe: Changes to meeting recordings - saved to OneDrive and SharePoint instead of Stream.
ChristianBergstrom Can anyone on this forum tell me if: • Captions & transcript appear on the recordings. • External people can request access to recording. From what I can see, captions and transcript do not appear on the recordings and external people cannot request access to a meeting recording. On top of this, external people are prompted for an organisational sign-in when clicking on a meeting recording.4.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Changes to meeting recordings - saved to OneDrive and SharePoint instead of Stream.
ChristianBergstrom Thanks. I've seen this. Unfortunately it doesn't answer my questions. Firstly it says 'we are working on adding closed captions in October'. It's almost December and I cannot see captions. Secondly, I cannot see where it explains where external users would see the 'request access' flow. The information I've got to work with, including roadmap ID: 67138 and 68761 are a bit vague. It makes preparing communication and training material for our business very difficult.15KViews0likes1CommentRe: Changes to meeting recordings - saved to OneDrive and SharePoint instead of Stream.
I have a couple of questions. I've opted into the change so I can preview the features ahead of a wider rollout. 1) There doesn't appear to be a natural way for external users to request access to meeting recordings. As an external user, when clicking on a recording within the meeting chat, I am presented with a Stream error 'Looks like there is an issue'. With the request access flow feature, I would assume external users would be presented with a screen to request access. 2) Meeting captions/transcript are not available. I understand that captions are not available in preview, but what exactly does this mean? If our tenant opts in to the OneDrive recording experience this year, are we technically previewing it? Will this leave us with a features gap where both captions and transcript on recordings are unavailable?82KViews1like3Comments
