Developer Verification 1. Sept - 28. Nov 2024 (solved)
First of all today it seems like we got verified as developer - yet it doesn't feel like time to party for us. Because next we need to test if the hardware program works at all or if it's as flawed as the rest of the Partner Portal. We started the process in September 2024, it was a very rough ride with Microsoft. The Microsoft Partner Portal is full with bugs and when opening tickets Microsoft doesn't really fix them. Don't try to fix problems by yourself you will just run into more problem (eg. removing the certificate or even removing the hardware program from an account - don't remove anything from an account by yourself because it doesn't work properly it will leave traces in the database which will lock out the particular features). The entire process is useless from my point of view, Microsoft does a more extensive company review than the Certification Authority - so why require the EV Certificate at all? The only answer Microsoft can give is we don't want to interrupt the money flow to the Certification Authority. Another week has passed, our current status - Verification Cancelled ... by whom? No one knows. Before we received this email: Afterwards I checked our status in the portal: Yesterday's status: I ha.te this so much ... since September we are doing this nonsense, 2 days ago I was asked to verify our company email..... there should be a button send verification .. well it was just not in our portal account. They added more nonsense to this we had to modify the domain name entry and add some MS specific information to it... good we did it but ...WHAT FOR?? We just want to release a signed driver nothing else. How many years will this go on? Now we're heading to 3 months with this Microsoft Partner Portal sh.it. Developer Verification 16. What happened so far? A guy from the outsourced Microsoft support department sent us two direct links for verification, those links are exactly the links "Fix Me" refers to. So nothing changed no progress, no fix, nothing. Still permission denied for the "Identity Verification" in the "Developer" section. The EV Certificate we have bought is losing time and customers are waiting and Microsoft doesn't give a sh.it as usual. Status for 2 1/2 months the s.hit Microsoft Partner Portal is not working. A secret hint for incom.petent Microsoft Managers fix this SH.IT PARTNER PORTAL to get rid of customer complaints. I'll keep updating this on a weekly basis now. So the guy who's working on it broke it completely now? Customer communication is down to zero, we can just try and see how bad it goes? Now it's stuck at the first item: The "partner" item verified those items too, but for "partner" it worked. I really wonder how bad an employee needs to be to mess it up that bad and for so long...Ticket Ping Pong?
What do you guys at Microsoft think when your outsourced departments are closing tickets with unresolved issues without adding any comment to it? Do you think the users love to play ticket ping pong or what? This entire outsourced verification / partner portal department is awful ... absolutely uncooperative. And Microsoft is no better - since Microsoft allows that. I hope all this will reflect to your other business and scare off at least a few potential customers. Maybe someone at Microsoft will learn something some day that this is an absolute irresponsible behaviour. Imagine someone having issues with Microsoft server and then he engages with such a support, or the Cloud services. 2 Months 8 days we're trying to get the issues sorted out with Microsoft and yet no way forward. Tickets are opened, there are a few people at Concentrix who try to help out but even their tickets are just getting closed without answer internally. We'll keep trying and post more frequently about our experience down the Microsoft toilet drain.Identity Verification works for Partner but not for Developer???
I just changed my email address under Legal Info Partner and Developer. First of all the Identity Verification under Partner also gave us the Fix Now button, however pushing it did not forward us to an external website. Pushing it indeed fixed the problem and authorised us immediately as "Partner" Secondly we also got the Fix now button under Developer here it opens a link to a website where it says authorisation denied So Partner Identity verification is okay - and Developer Identity verification is not okay. Can someone at Microsoft (or can someone trigger your outsourced departments) just copy paste the Partner Identity verification code to the developer identity verification?Shame on Microsoft
So it seems like removing forum posts works, but removing a certificate from the Microsoft Database OR fixing this idoti.c Microsoft Partner Portal does not work within 2 MONTHS (whereas I see problems with this Partner Portal for almost a year now)? Maybe the Forum admins should be levelled up to become backend administrators? If Microsoft is not competent enough to fix the Microsoft Partner Portal problems, how about hiring skilled people rather than keep going with the current incompetent people who cannot and who are not willing to fix any problems? Don't be shocked but Microsoft AI is not up to it and will not fix it. Why does Microsoft want to rely on cross signed Windows drivers if Microsoft is not competent enough to implement that in their eco-system? Digicert is able to verify a company within 1 day while Microsoft is not able to fix their B2B issues within 2 month. Microsoft is not even able to verify the developer identification properly even though the developer is set as company owner which also shows up in the DUNS database. What's the goal of all that? Keep/make other people angry? It's so easy to fix those issues, why don't you guys just fix them? And reading .. the other department doesn't share information, yes well then they should be laid off or getting taught to share information. The way Microsoft is going is absolute incompetent at the moment. I really wonder how Microsoft can run a cloud service with such unreliable staff, customers joining this madness is nothing but an economical sui.cide mission.
