Filter lookup option in grid view
Hi,
Is there a way where I can set a lookup column to filter the options based on another column when editing in grid view?
Thank you in advance.
yenijc Unfortunately, you cannot customize the grid view in SharePoint online modern experience to show the lookup options dynamically.
Are you trying to filter lookup options based on column in lookup parent list or column in same (lookup child) list where you are using grid view?

- yenijcCopper ContributorI'm trying to filter it based on the column in same list.
yenijc Unfortunately, you cannot achieve your requirements using SharePoint out of the box functionalities for customizing SharePoint list grid view.
If you want Microsoft to provide any such functionalities in future, you can add new feedback/idea on SharePoint feedback portal at: SharePoint Feedback Portal

Hello yenijc,
Unfortunately, native filtering of lookup options based on another column is not supported in SharePoint grid view.
However, you can explore alternatives such as creating a custom form using Power Apps or SharePoint Designer, using calculated columns, implementing cascading dropdowns with JavaScript or third-party solutions, or building a custom SharePoint Framework (SPFx) extension, but these workarounds require advanced designing skills and investment.

I see.
I wanted to use the grid view in adding/updating items. I'm also not using the list form. Guess there is no OOTB workaround for this.
Thank you so much for answering!
