Multiple accounts on Teams App, users can click any account and it auto signs in - how to stop?

Copper Contributor

We have computers set up in our conference rooms with a generic local account set up with teams installed. We've found after users have signed into Teams with their own microsoft account, signed out, and re opened Teams, they can simply click on ANY of the accounts that have previously been on the Teams App and it will just go ahead and log them in without asking for credentials.

How do I stop this....

Hi @TyBem,

you can remove all the signed-in accounts from Microsoft Teams.

Open every single location (path) seperately with Windows Start + R (Run) and delete everything in the location. Microsoft Teams should be running.

%LocalAppData%\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe

%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy

%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\OneAuth

%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\TokenBroker

%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\IdentityCache

This should remove all active logged-in users in Microsoft Teams Client.

Then, log out from the Microsoft Teams and sign-in with the generic user you are using.
This is just a workoround, not a solution.

I would be good to give feedback directly to Microsoft regarding this issue in your Microsoft Teams client by clicking on ... > Help > Give Feedback or by posting a feature request on Microsoft Feedback Portal (Microsoft Teams · Community).
