Microphone not working Windows 10
When I participate in a voice/video meeting in Teams my microphone in my headset isn't working, i tried using the test call but it doesn't pick up the microphone, I tried testing the microphone in skype and there I had the same problem while in discord the microphone works.
when I look in my settings the programs have acces to the microphone and the computer picks up the microphone

I found the problem for my headset suddenly not working in Teams.
After a update (Teams, Not Windows 10) I had to give the app permission again.
Hope this helps
- ThiruzCopper ContributorEven I have also same issue, The Microsoft Teams doesn't detect my wired headphone, but I am able to access on other apps like Zoom, Webex etc...

Mine stopped working randomly too. My PC was still picking up my mic like normal.
I fixed it by going to "App Permissions" settings, scrolling down and checking "Allow desktop apps to access your microphone" to "on". Somehow it had set no "off" on it's own.
- BillGuenthnerCopper ContributorIt's not you and there's probably nothing you can do to make it work. Teams is just very buggy as far as device support. You have to try different devices until something works. I have numerous microphones and headsets and only a couple work with Teams. I've never seen anyone have a problem with sound on the mobile app on a phone though so that's a good fallback option.

sun1247 My mic suddenly stopped working in Teams (and only Teams)
I fixed this by turning off "Automatically Adjust Mic Sensitivity"
You can find this setting in Settings -> Devices between Microphone selection and "Make a Test Call."
As soon as I turned this off, my mic worked again.

ChrisWeakley I had the same issue and your fix of turning off 'automatically adjust mic sensitivity' worked. Many thanks.

- parklinguaCopper ContributorI've had the same issue for 2 weeks nearly. nobody can solve the problem. the worst thing is I am the teacher who needed to be heard 😞 I don't know what will happen or if they are able to solve the problem
- Snigdha_SamalCopper ContributorI have a weird issue. Widows suddenly stopped detecting the microphone. I am unable to participate in team meetings now. When checked Setting > System > Sound, I am getting 'No input devices found'! What could be the problem?
Troubleshoot won't help nor could I found any thing helpful.- williamchanCopper Contributor

HI I've been told to escalate incident INC7865326 to stage 2 as nothing has been resolved and I've now been 4 weeks without a mic
- 123sueCopper ContributorWhy when I connect my Bluetooth earphones to Microsoft team will have noises on the background sound?
- sun1247Copper ContributorNo, it fixed itself
