How to restore the option to delete row in the edit drop down menu in Excel Checkbook 2023
I just downloaded excel checkbook 2023 and am setting up my register. Originally I had the option to delete row in the edit drop down menu, but then after deleting a column I now only have the option to delete columns. I want to restore the option to delete a row instead of deleting columns. How do I do that?jsgordonsafSep 06, 2025Occasional Reader29Views0likes1CommentExcel (365 & 2016) with network information...and much more Information to Filter.
With Excel (365 & 2016) Network information, information about Local Network Connectivity, Test Connection to a Specific Web URL, WiFi SSID information ...and much more information to filter with a button. I was trying to create a tool that would allow me to filter the necessary information from all the PCs I need to work on using a USB stick. I came across an old file that I edited and added additional information to the code. I'd like to share this file (Help for self-help). If anyone finds it useful, or would like additional tips or information, please feel free to send me feedback. If it doesn't help you...just ignore it. I welcome any constructive comments. * After loading the file, be sure to activate all macros. Happy Excel-ing! 🙂NikolinoDESep 06, 2025Gold Contributor172Views0likes14CommentsExcel script not updating the Refresh All button

Can someone confirm if this functionality not available yet? Hello, I wonder if anyone here can help me. I have created an inventory tracking file in excel but I have encountered a difficulty that I cannot seem to find an answer for. I have sequenced each incoming shipment but I am unable to sequence or match or track outgoing shipments automatically based on specific conditions: I need to assign #1 to outgoing shipments until outgoing piece count of 25 is reached, then #2 until 20 is reached and so on When incoming and outgoing piece count net out to 0, I need the status to be "Closed", when we've started pulling from but not emptied out yet, "In progress", and when untouched "Open" I would like outgoing to be link to earliest, not closed, incoming shipment. Of concern: "Out" and "Status" columns Can anyone help with this? Thank you! ChristineChristine_D1973Sep 06, 2025Occasional Reader62Views0likes2CommentsLong data copied to wide data
Hi, I am trying to do exam analysis and need to copy data from Excel (see image) into my home-made analysis sheet on Numbers mac (see image). The trouble is the exam board data is in a long format data sheet while my numbers table is in a wide format. I have tried copy/paste special/transposing but all that does is run all the candidate names horizontally along with the data horizontally (see image). What I am looking to try and do is have the candidate names go down in a column and have the data from each question run horizontally across from their name. How can I do that? Any help would be immensely appreciated - I have been at this for 2 hours now and am sure I could have just single-copied all the data by this point!!!KippMajorsSep 06, 2025Occasional Reader40Views0likes1CommentHaving trouble with IF formula
Hello, I'm not sure what's going on with my formula, but it is supposed to double the "Grip" when a checkbox is checked. All the numbers being pulled from tables are correct and when not checked the "Grip" adds up correctly. When doubled, it is also adding the "Wall Thk." number an extra time. Correct single Grip = 1.625" Correct double Grip = 3.25" I get 3.5" for double grip. Formula used below, as well as pictures. If my formula is wrong, then I can't see it, but it has to be adding T8 somehow. =IF(X8,((INDEX(DATA_THK,MATCH(1,(Flg_Thk[Spec.]=N8)*(Flg_Thk[Series]=O8)*(Flg_Thk[Class]=P8)*(Size=Q8),0),MATCH(R8,FLG_TYPE,0))+T8*(R8="Lap Joint (LJ)")+V8*(U8="RF"))*2),(INDEX(DATA_THK,MATCH(1,(Flg_Thk[Spec.]=N8)*(Flg_Thk[Series]=O8)*(Flg_Thk[Class]=P8)*(Size=Q8),0),MATCH(R8,FLG_TYPE, 0))))+T8*(R8="Lap Joint (LJ)")+V8*(U8="RF")Greg_MSep 06, 2025Copper Contributor31Views0likes2CommentsHOW TO: "If cell contains specific text display the immediate next word after it"
I have an excel file with each individual cell filled with data as it follows: Alejandro - GREEN Daniel - RED Sebastian - BLUE What I have been trying to do is to use a formula to extract the upper case value thats after the "-" immediate to the specific name of the person. At the moment I have the formula: =IF(COUNTIF(F3:F20,"*"&"Daniel"&"*"),"Yes","No") Which would simply return "Yes" if the cell contains the name Daniel, what I dont know how to do is to replace the "Yes" for a formula that would give me the "RED" in return. I know the formulas Left, Mid and Right are probably the way to go but since the separating character appears 3 times in a single cell (it being "-" I THINK) I have no idea how to stablish to use only the one after the specific name, and return only the very first word next to it (RED in case of Daniel). For this I have the formula =MID(M26,FIND("-",M26)+2,3) Which would give me GRE (3 characters only, dont know how to make it dynamic length) and would only return the very first entry as opposed to it being the one after the specific name, kinda close but no luck yet :/ Is this even possible? Edit: I attach my original file, I didnt before because the formula get so convoluted with other stuff I tried to keep it simple, basically its the formula on column O where i would replace the ":D" with the formula that im asking about.Alejandro Murillo RamirezSep 05, 2025Copper Contributor7.3KViews1like12CommentsHow do I link a cell to another sheet in the same workbook, allowing me to view the sheet?
I have a workbook containing a list of webpages in the first sheet. I want to be able to click on a cell and be directed to that sheet/tab, viewing the entire sheet, instead of clicking through a workbook with over 25 tabs. For example, in the attached screenshot, when clicking on the "Homepage content" cell in the first sheet/tab of workbook 1, it will take me to the "Homepage Content" sheet/tab in workbook 1, allowing me to view the entire sheet. I tried using the hyperlink formula, =HYPERLINK('Homepage Content'!A1,"Homepage Content"), but it doesn't work and have looked through several google search results as well. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!SolvedCristinaGRateSep 05, 2025Copper Contributor275KViews0likes10CommentsFilter function with a criteria
