- Mark-KashmanFormer EmployeeVery excited to see this one kick off today. Great to see Planner grow and evolve.

Glad you are here! 🙌
- Traveler2624Copper ContributorWould be great to have the last used "Group by" field remembered. I get tired of setting it to Due Date (which I use most often) every time I open Planner as it always opens using Group By Bucket by default.

Totally. Good catch. I know we have been making improvement to remember other filters and settings, this should be also be remembered. I filed a bug for this. - Brian-SmithFormer EmployeeIn Planner in Teams the view is persisted. This should be coming to the web too Bob. I assume you are seeing this in web today?
- HurtighBrass ContributorThis is a much awaited feature! Having a way of saving different views to quickly switch between them would be a great next step. For instance, having one "assign view" for easily dragging tasks to the right person, one view for planning, another for follow-up, etc.
- LisaDAmicoCopper ContributorAgree; really would like to see timesheets
- Matej27xCopper Contributorwill ever come back timesheet?
- JenniferB985Copper ContributorI am looking to resolve some of the confusion we have seen around how Planner and Project are coming together. Additionally, I'm hopeful we will see greater integration with Loop.

What greater integration would you like to see in Loop

I hope to see a demo of basic Project Management and Task integration:
3 components - Projects, Tasks and Resources.
1) A Resource (Person) should be able to look at all their assigned tasks across all the projects,
2) a Project lead should be able to look at all the tasks their resources have to judge who has availability for new tasks
3) Conversely - one should be able to look at all the tasks across all the projects to see what tasks may be falling behind, rather than going plan by plan - one at a time.
Additionally:
as Stefanie and others have said - Integrate Onenote to have tasks assigned directly or integrated:
As an example, :
In Onenote - I assign a task to a person.
It goes to their Outlook, They can look at it but it's not related to anything - other than a link back to the onenote. - Nor can it be related to a Plan/Project In Outlook , nor can the assigner do anything with it or see it (Other than scanning the Onenote.
The assignee can open up "My Day" in Teams (if it was set for today) - Move the task to a Plan - where it's no longer assigned to them.
Then someone has to assign that task back to the original with perhaps a proper date
Either way - It's a multiple step process
And don't get me started trying to do that with Loop , Loop components owned by individuals / Not Teams -
- bzhang4sacstateCopper ContributorCan we create a task via email, like in Trello?
- StephenMcGillBrass Contributori have a power automate workflow set up so that when i send an email to our automation workflow email account it creates a task from it - i include info such as Assign To, Due Date ; Label ; Bucket ; Priority etc and it crease the task in the plan and assigns it to the right person.

Hello Bin, Today, we support flagged emails in Planner. If you need to follow up on a task from email, simply flag the email in Outlook, and it will show up in the Flagged Email section under My Tasks in the new Planner. Please let us know if you are looking for any specific functionality. - LouisB1465Copper ContributorThere are a couple of ways to do that, you can create a ToDo from Outlook (todo's will show up in Planner tasks), you can create a Power Automate flow (there are examples).
- EllderCopper ContributorHello, I am an elder (71, and that is not a typo) social work program student at Colorado Mesa University having to use the Desire to Learn (D2L) interface. It is one of perhaps six university-oriented interface systems for receiving homework assignments, turning in assignments, grades, assessments, etc. For most of us, it is a nightmare you Must master if you are to succeed and graduate. In the spring, I tried using some of Planner's templates to organize everything in D2L, plus my own research projects, extra-curricular activities, etc. It ended up taking more time than simply grabbing a huge calendar and penning things in.. but no calendar is big enough. : ) I am resigned to creating my own template going forward. I designed Microsoft Front Page websites since the 1990's, developed what was then considered the first Word>Excel>Word macros to do cost-estimates in Word, and was about to be written up in the Microsoft newsletter, when some vulnerabilities showed up in macros code for hackers, and then macros disappeared for years. Thankfully they are back! But, the question is, with the zillions of students using Microsoft 365 in school, and Planner-basic is included as part of that package, and most students I've talked with don't even know it exists, will the Planner team develop a professional template for university students that includes not just home work and research assignments, but club activities, and other extra-curricular activities? That would save me the time to do it, and gosh knows, with each professor seeming to think that their subject is the only one in the universe, there is no time left in any day, much less design a thorough, color-coded, easy to use student template. If I have to, I will, but it sure would help if you could assign a team that task, as it would help millions of students really succeed and make it to graduation. With global heating in our face now, we need all the educated problem-solvers we can help graduate. Cheers! Michael Gibson Social Work BSW Program student, also, on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Social Workers-Colorado Chapter, as the Undergraduate Representative for this year. Planner for Students would be considered a "mezzo" social work solution. : )
- ldauerOccasional ReaderLove to know why under My Teams old plans that were deleted show up, during training we use a sandbox and before the next class I make sure to complete all tasks or delete them, before I delete the plan, and they are showing up, any way to keep them gone?
- David_HopkinsFormer EmployeeHi Leslie. All the tasks should be deleted if the plan is deleted. To delete a plan, if you are an owner of the group the plan has been added to then you can either delete the plan through the plan settings (when in the plan, select the dropdown next to the plan title and choose ‘Plan details’), or delete the group. If this doesn’t work for you, then please reach out to our customer support from https://support.microsoft.com/planner to help us diagnose the issue.
- Brian-SmithFormer EmployeeAre these just showing in the Recently Used - or somewhere else Leslie? We should be keeping things clean, but it may not be immediate everywhere.
