While many of the updates do require premium to access, there are also several that apply to all plans- including many of our ease of use enhancements. And even when we have free trials, I understand your point. Which of the new features you think should not be under premium?- HurtighBrass ContributorLet me chime in here: at the very least allow all users to create channel posts from tasks. Comments in Planner have been a confusing experience from the start. And seeing as a lot of organizations are still struggling to move from group chat into channel collaboration, enhancing the integration between Planner and Teams would be a great nudge in the right direction. But this is IMO a basic feature of Planner. If we can create a Planner task from a channel message it doesn't make sense to have the reverse scenario be a premium feature.
- ChrisG260Copper ContributorWhat's happening with Project for the Web, especially as it relates to custom environments? We have this as a business critical setup, and need to understand any branding or functionality changes in relation to the new Planner ahead of rollout.

Project for the Web capabilities have been merged into Planner - and we are working on supporting Named Orgs as well- ChrisG260Copper ContributorI appreciate that they're merging, but what our end users should be expecting (especially as it relates to the model-driven app interface) is very unclear - is the brand "Project for the Web" going away? Will the portfolio functionality replace or enhance the model-driven app? We have a lot of custom tables, workflows (both cloud flows and business process flows), and home-grown solutions for things like better resource management and BI dashboards. What will be the impact?
- NathanBlackBrass ContributorOur customers continue to ask for third-party API support for custom fields in Planner. Please see this User Voice story: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/2a2281e7-60c4-ee11-92bd-6045bd7b0481
- MartinOeglCopper ContributorIs it planned to support Managed Metadata Columns as custom field? - We manage terms centrally via termstore and it would be great to be able to tag Planner plans with pre-defined terms from termstore.
- SharnedNTCopper Contributorwhen will user tagging be added? I should be able to notify someone that a comment has been made

Our team is actively designing improvements comments and mentions, and we hope to have something to announce in the near future. Currently for premium plans pinned to channels, you can start a chat about the task and mention your teammates in this chat.- markomcpartlandCopper ContributorGlad to hear its being worked on. You should be able to mention people easily, after all Teams is all about comms! (note my other comment re @'ing someone to a new task conversation in premium plan takes more clicks that it should

Is there any special pricing for Planner Plan 1 for nonprofits? The addition of a $10/month per user upcharge for some of the basic new features is steep for a small nonprofit like the one I am supporting.
- -_RH_-Steel ContributorAny update on backup/restore (ideally, journaling/versioning)? No backup/restore mechanism whatsoever = not suitable for important use by any business that takes the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability triad seriously.
- WalecznyPCopper ContributorThe biggest drawback of the planner is that anyone in the group can delete a task, which means that if you are the boss, the planner is not very suitable for managing people. Will You plan to change it?
- Marina_R_26Copper ContributorI tuned in to listen if this request will be implemented as well, seems like a very simple request but makes Planner pretty un-usable!!
- Cu0504Copper ContributorTotally agree. Makes this unusable for us in a project/team environment. Useful to track work, but not to share as team members can also update the due date, priority and other key fields.
- JohnSutherlandCopper ContributorI'd love to see a native connector in Power BI for Planner. Having to build complex extraction in Power Automate, then further manipulate in Power BI is very time consuming 🙂 Even the ability to call the export to excel button would be a win!
- OwenJonesIron ContributorRight now Planner is very limited as an enterprise solution. Every plan/project is in its own silo and one can't manage resources, tasks or projects outside of a small team. The following features are key for enterprise capability - are they on the roadmap?
- Resource management across multiple projects. As a minimum it should be possible to view the Assignments and Charts tabs across a whole group, not just a single plan. Similar for People and Goals tabs would also be useful.
- Task dependencies between different projects
- Task requests into a project, allowing outside the project team to make a request that the Project Manager needs to accept
- Allowing a task to be in more than one project (could be similar to the above)
Other items that would be helpful:- "Sticky" views, with the current state of filters, group by, zoom, date range etc retained between sessions
- Bulk update of tasks
- Moving tasks between projects
- Keeping effort constant when duration of a task is changed
- Allowing top-level tasks to connect to Goals
