- ColleenGrahamCopper ContributorWe are using Copilot for our legal teams and they are frustrated that long documents are not easily summarized, what is the document/word length for copilot and if there is something coming soon to extend the amount of data copilot can summarize (BTW it was able to summarize a 94 page document on the EU AI Act which was awesome)
- Chris_FerraroIron ContributorWe did an initial trial earlier this year and for our legal teams the feedback was they could not rely on it to replace fully reading documents. Too risky for them at that time. However, they were able to use the tool in other parts of their workday.
- qobodoBrass ContributorHi, same here. I was recently testing Copilot's capabilities in a legal issue where I wanted to summarize email exchanges with a company that sold us a software that was not working properly. The issue reached back to september 2023. Although I promted all the right names and domains that I wanted Copilot to summerize, and that I clearly idicated the timespan on which Copilot should compile the email infos, I needed to cut it in chunks of 3 to 4 months, else it would not be integrated in the summary. I then refed the results in Copilot Word to create a consolidated text. Although the result was good in the end, the steps needed for this to become proper was clumsy.

Microsoft
Thanks for the feedback! We are currently looking to expand the amount of content Copilot can understand. You can help by giving us feedback when you run into these limitations using the thumbs up/down feedback buttons, or you can indicate here how many emails in total you needed to summarize.

- qobodoBrass ContributorThis actually WAS a Copilot-in-Outlook matter...
- HanssieHBrass ContributorIs this possible? Find a specific meeting and generate a meeting OneNote based on a company specific template
- Zack-ChuaBrass ContributorHi Hans, thanks for your question. This is not something we are currently working on, but I will take your feedback to our product team working on. We are actively working on features to help you prepare for your meetings with Copilot.
- HanssieHBrass ContributorIs this possible? Create an email and use a preferred tone of voice and grammar, specific for their communication style based on the company website or reference document?
- thomasconstantin
Microsoft
You can use Draft with Copilot today to generate an email and modify the tone and length you'd like: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/draft-an-email-message-with-copilot-in-outlook-3eb1d053-89b8-491c-8a6e-746015238d9b. We are also working on enhancing this capability by being able to add or reference a document to make the output even more contextual and specific.- HanssieHBrass ContributorThanks, I know the capability on tone and length, but I am looking for a way to use a specific style and wording, like Termstore in SharePoint Online. Great to see you working on the reference document "solution"
- ColleenGrahamCopper ContributorWe launched three weeks ago with a small team - very frustrated there are no instructions for how to launch the copilot in each of your apps and how to ensure the copilot is in all your apps (what good looks like?). Did i miss something or is there an instruction out there on how to verify you have Copilot turned on/pinned in all your Microsoft apps?
- alliethompsonIron ContributorYou can find Getting Started content here https://copilot.cloud.microsoft/en-US/prompts?ocid=copilot_akams_copilotlab. There is also documentation by app that might be helpful. This, for example, should help for Outlook: https://copilot.cloud.microsoft/en-US/prompts?ocid=copilot_akams_copilotlab.

Since approx. 4 weeks I notice that Copilot, for example, no longer understands German prompts in PowerPoint in iOS. I use Copilot Pro. What can be the cause?

- johanazaCopper Contributori m using outlook 365 (classic) some support guy told me to switch for the "new Outlook 365" (wich sucks btw)... Copilot button never showed in any of two
- johanazaCopper ContributorFI : i have a active copilot licence
- 105000Copper ContributorFor a meeting when you ask Co-pilot to show relevant document to prepare for the meeting then what is the scope of the co-pilot search to identify all the documents / emails.
- Zack-ChuaBrass ContributorHi Ashish, thanks for your question. Prepare for your Meeting with Copilot will search the Microsoft Graph to find meeting related content such as documents that have been shared with the meeting (through the meeting chat, email or meeting invite) or related between you and the other meeting participants. You will only see documents that you have access to.
- LisaJo48Iron ContributorYes. In other words, please offer more information and resources for RoadMap entry: Outlook: Prepare for Meetings with Copilot in the new Outlook for Windows and web With so many of us in back-to-back meetings, it can be a real struggle to stay on top of pre-reads, action items, and even what each meeting is about. Copilot can identify and summarize the key points so you can show up prepared in just a few minutes. When you have an upcoming meeting, Copilot proactively shows you a "Prepare" button in your inbox which helps you quickly get context for the meeting providing a summary of the meeting and showing and summarizing relevant files leveraging the power of the Microsoft Graph. Now you have all the most important details you need and can arrive prepared and ready to engage in a productive conversation. This feature will be available in the new Outlook for Windows and web. #newoutlookforwindows Feature ID: 374723 Added to roadmap: 4/1/2024 Last modified: 4/1/2024 Product(s): Outlook, Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365) Cloud instance(s): Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant) Platform(s): Desktop, Web Release phase(s): General Availability
- RickTonerCopper ContributorWith all of the new Copilot features in Outlook, is there a page that tells which features will be available with Outlook Classic?
- Gabriel_ValdezBronze ContributorThe best place to stay up to date on which features are in development or released and to which endpoints, is the Microsoft 365 roadmap https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?rtc=1&filters=Outlook&searchterms=copilot
- RickTonerCopper ContributorI was hoping for some guidance on how much Microsoft is going to work with Outlook classic. We are not willing to upgrade to the new version because of the lack of security (separation of accounts) without profiles.
