I also have i7-7700K and have been part of insider program for years and I installed Windows 11 since it became available in insider dev channel. It works well and there has been zero crashes so far (something that can't be said of os called windows 10 ). Fingers crossed that microsoft approves 7700k because it's fully compatible as it is as safe as it's successor line Coffee Lake.

Exactly this. I've been an Insider since before Windows 10 was even released publicly, and the same goes for Windows 11. I'm currently on the latest Dev build of Windows 11 and I've had zero crashes up to this point. I've also yet to see any technical reasons behind Microsoft not approving this CPU for use, as it supports all of the needed features necessary for full Windows 11 compatibility.

Are you able to move off the Insider programme once you have upgraded to Windows 11, and retain it?
- SugarD-xFeb 08, 2022Brass ContributorNot yet, but that's because everyone is locked into the Dev channel right now. They just announced recently that users should be able to move to the Beta channel soon, which as far as I can tell should allow the option that switches to the release version and exits the Insider Preview once a new release version comes out.
If not, I'll just find a way to force it. Microsoft is not going to stop me from using my computer because of a simple, outdated "list" when all of my hardware is beyond 100% compatible. This CPU issue is literally the only reason they won't mark it correctly, and the CPU is DEFINITELY compatible.
