The i7-7700K meet the minimun requierments to run Win11. But its not suported, Why?
As challenge for myself and use it 6-12 months.
I don't know how people are going to react to this in developing nations but I can see people switching over to Linux in the foreseeable future.

I never used it but if you are using the computer for evaluative purposes Red Hat Enterprise Linux is available for free, Oracle Linux as well but I don’t find it as good but people say it’s the same, open suse is amazing, arch Linux is good or Debian… I like Freebsd a lot… and am using Ubuntu as well…as openbsd, I heard a lot of good things about Linux Mint but never tried it… I like Stanford University’s (Sun’s) Solaris but there may be issues of compatibility… and it’s not well maintained or there’s no support… arch Linux , FreeBsd though has a very vibrant community that will support your every question through forums or irc… There’s also fedora, rocky Linux or centos that are related to red hat… truenas related to bsd and manjaro related to Ubuntu, kali Linux related to Debian, etc.. and many more… which is supposed to be the pitfall of Linux desktop the lack of commonality in distros is discouraging apparently to developers some programs or hardware is only supported by mac Or windows like some external hard drives or other devices where the drivers may not be standardized and they need a driver for it… I tried installing a printer driver on Debian and still haven’t figured it out for example but that one should be doable…also I watched the video all Linux and unix distributions except Ubuntu use X as a display manager and you have the choice of windows manager ie. Kde, gnome, mate, xfce, xfde, ice, cinnamon, mate, etc.. some like Oracle Linux or rhel or Ubuntu automatically install gnome, Ubuntu though has an alternative to X apparently which is wayland, also arch Linux has an automatic installer now but it will choose a desktop environment/ display manager for you now but if you go through the steps you can choose your file system if you want ext4 or zfs, etc.. I think this video is probably old in the 2 year range…

as much as Linus Torvalds would love the business Windows 10 is still a better option so don't change anything... is my suggestion. You will have less application compatibility and more issues most likely... another point is they say an i3 of 12th generation is more performant than in i7 7700k but I am not sure except they both have quad core, 8 threads, and i3 has a higher frequency... Hello
I think that everyone has the right to use the operating system that for some reason is best for him!
Windows11 does not require payment for the upgrade, and PC manufacturers are already contractually obligated to adapt the specifications of their products to the requirements of Windows11.
- nbelleyDec 09, 2021Brass ContributorYou can upgrade with no problem on an i7-7700k and still have all the security updates of windwos 11. You only need to follow instructions on MS Website. The gist of it is use a usb media stick to upgrade windows, the CPU will not block it and update and support will be available thought windows update for as long as windows 11 is alive.
