The i7-7700K meet the minimun requierments to run Win11. But its not suported, Why?

I think your all missing the point; they list the i7-7700k as COMPATIBLE on their own list of suitable chips.

 

If this was a business decision and shrewd marketing like everyone is suggesting, someone messed up.

So, you think the tool will update soon? Because right now, its still blocking me and windows update still doesn't say my computer can upgrade....

    Not unless Microsoft addresses this. Microsoft wrote the health tool and therefore sets the rules it checks. The bigger question is why Microsoft is not addressing this with facts. At this point the only reason that seems to be apparent is a business decision. It would be best for Microsoft to hear its community and add support for the Core i7-7700k and let us all move on. Learn from the Past, Be Transparent, Do the Right Thing or explain your decision in detail.

      It is unlikely Microsoft is willing to address this anytime soon, until the next release of Win11 undergoes large scale hardware compatibility test (if it will).

        Holding out hope but seems unlikely regardless of how shortsighted and anti-customer it is.
