Skype for Business Mac Client version 16.15.166 crashes every time on start
Today the latest version of SFB, 16.15.166, started crashing upon starting up. From what I can see on the detailed crash report the problem is related to an Secure HTTP (HTTPS) issue since that thread is the one crashing.
I'm not running any VPN nor there is any other communication problem while accessing any other site on port 443.
Let me know if the complete crash report is needed.

Any Update on this issue?

The last reported crash was 11:24am EST yesterday which was just before the MS support said the fix had been applied. Hoping it stays away. It was very painful for us. 80% mac shop.

Was experiencing the same issue with several users. This seems to be an issue with keychains. Users that update passwords, will have issue where skype will try to create new password entries into keychains for skype and cause a crash.
Open Finder :
Go> (hold cmd) Library. Move keychains folder into trash and restart. User will have to reinput passwords but skype for business crash will be resolved.
Cheers,
Areg

Areg,
Wouldn't moving the WHOLE keychains folder into the trash destroy all other saved passwords as well, including WiFi, my techcommunity.microsoft.com, and others? Seems a little nuclear, when you can remove them in the Keychain Access app pretty easily. I did see a number of created today passwords in the keychain app that indicate exactly what you are saying. I did not have an update mandate today though, so I am not sure why that started happening.

Deleting keychains with "Skype" in the name worked for me. Crashing is now stopped.

My Skype for Business Mac Client Version: 16.15.166 (16.15.166) is also crashing. This started after I cloned my HDD to a SSD. But dont know if it has anyting to do with that.
Have just now done a reinstall - but still crashing.

A colleague has Skype for Business ver. 16.13.184 and this one is not crashing.
It it possible to download that version some where?
- Phillip GardingIron ContributorThe crash was unrelated to the client code; it was a service component that had a partial rollout yesterday, but was then rolled back. It's possible that it can take a little time for the rollback to be applied to all servers, so you may have been late to see it. Please try again now. (FYI - There is no way to install older builds, but the client was not a factor in any case.)

- Claudia CollyerCopper ContributorI have the same problem exactly. Same error messages and same OSX version. I have the problem with or without VPN. I also updated my Outlook for Mac today to version to 16.10 (180210). I suspect the Skype problem may be related to the Outlook upgrade. I urgently need a fix for this. Thanks.

Microsoft has identified the problem, and it is related to an updated component that is shared between Office apps. The crash only happens on OSX 10.11.x, and the update only went to a small set of users. We are working on rolling back the update.

- Joe DoeCopper ContributorSince the problem is a shared component, this might also explain why Outlook will sometimes crash too, even on the background, although I haven't checked why as I just did with Skype for Business.
Anytime frame as to when will the rollback be available ?
My Skype for Business service is completely dead because of this...
