Skype for Business Mac Client version 16.15.166 crashes every time on start
My Skype for Business Mac Client Version: 16.15.166 (16.15.166) is also crashing. This started after I cloned my HDD to a SSD. But dont know if it has anyting to do with that.
Have just now done a reinstall - but still crashing.
A colleague has Skype for Business ver. 16.13.184 and this one is not crashing.
It it possible to download that version some where?
- Phillip GardingMar 08, 2018Iron ContributorThe crash was unrelated to the client code; it was a service component that had a partial rollout yesterday, but was then rolled back. It's possible that it can take a little time for the rollback to be applied to all servers, so you may have been late to see it. Please try again now. (FYI - There is no way to install older builds, but the client was not a factor in any case.)

Thanks Philip,
I will keep trying. It is, however, still not working today.

Chrilles:
Can you confirm your OSX version? The crash related to the service component only happens on El Capitan (version 10.11). You can see the OS version by clicking About This Mac on the Apple menu. If you have a different version than 10.11, then this is a different issue.
If you can get us a crash dump, that would be helpful. Also, if you have a support contract with Microsoft, I would recommend opening a support ticket so that our support team can help to diagnose this.
Phil.
