UPDATE: Reducing sign outs in OneDrive and SharePoint Mobile Apps
Hi everyone! We have heard your feedback and in order to improve the OneDrive and SharePoint mobile experiences, we are updating the default refresh token max lifetime from 14 days to 90 days for the following apps starting June 15th:
- OneDrive for iOS (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-onedrive-file-photo-cloud-storage/id477537958?mt=8)
- OneDrive for Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.skydrive&hl=en)
- OneDrive for Windows 10 Universal (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/onedrive/9wzdncrfj1p3)
- SharePoint for iOS (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-sharepoint/id1091505266?mt=8)
- SharePoint for Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.sharepoint&hl=en)
- SharePoint for Windows 10 Universal (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/sharepoint/9nblggh510hb)
Today, if a user hasn't used OneDrive in 14 days, they will automatically be signed out. This has led to a degraded experience for end users who find themselves having to constantly re-authenticate. With the addition of configurable token lifetimes and PIN enforcement from Microsoft Intune mobile application management, we have been able to extend the default refresh token max lifetime, while giving you increased control over all your sessions. In addition, no changes will be made to the following:
- You will still be able to instantly revoke that refresh token through password change policy
- The refresh token will expire regardless of use after 90 days.
- The access token lifetime will continue to default to 1 hour
- The refresh token will continue to be checked with every use.

i did not even know that but could this be the reason onedrive is not starting after a few weeks?
thanks for updating it.
Is this also possible to set days in the onedrive admin portal?

Hi Paul,
It should start, but it's likely signing you out. We don't currently have any plans to add it to the OneDrive Admin Portal, but it's something we can consider in the future.
- Are you planning to do the same for other Office 365 Apps?
