Similar SSRS Reports in SP Online

Hi, while working on migration project from SP 2010 to SP Online, we analysed that some sites we supposed to migrate have integrated with SSRS to generate several reports.

 

What would be the approach for SP Online to create similar reports? can we connect/integrate with existing SSRS on-premise (if so please share how to ) or we need to integrate SP Online with Azure features for reporting or we have SP Online native reporting features with similar capability?

    PowerBI is the replacement. But can be expensive if you have low usage or just use it as a dashboard to show a little bit of data since you have to license the pro version for anyone to see a shared report.

    Depending on the requirement thou, you could substitute a PowerApp webpart or even link to a powerapp in place of a report which doesn't require additional licensing depending on the datasource itself.

      Thanks Chris Webb. That's make more sense to use the necessary tool/feature for the right requirement instead over-use a feature. As far as I know client investing on full stack and features to move to SP Online, so it would not be problem, but as technical consultants we will do the due diligence to propose required tool. Very much appreciated your feedback.

    Thanuja...SP Online doesn't support SSRS reporting.  Considering using Power BI for these types of needs.
