Using Sharepoint as Virtual Data Room (VDR)
I am very new to SharePoint and I have been tasked to set up a VDR using SharePoint. It is for sharing and collaborating with external partners. Important features of a VDR are, but not limited to: 1) User Management and Control (User login, Login auto expiry, Assigning access permission etc) 2) Data Management and Control (Access permission, watermarking, cannot download/save, cannot print, cannot edit etc) 3) User Activity Report (when did user login, frequency of login, which files, etc) I am not able to find much resources for this. I am wondering anyone here has any experience setting up a VDR via Sharepoint. And if you could share best practice or any advice, will be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Cheers, jw
SharePoint Power Apps Form lock the form field to only created by can edit
I'm trying to get the SharePoint Form fields to be locked for editing for everyone except for the person who created the item. the only this I can see wrong is that when I place the Created By Column in the form field it shows: i:0=.f|membership|email where I think the i:0=.f|membership| before the email address is throwing the code off: I'm using this code: If( User().Email = ThisItem.'Created By'.Email, DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.View ) Currently it is locked no one can edit the fields not even the person who created the item. (Created By) Is there a way to fix the code to work?
How to connect SharePoint site access user details via Google Analytics data studio
Hi Experts, Good day, I would like to create new reports in Google data studio (Google Analytics), with the data source coming from SharePoint. I need to import site access user counts, including the number of views and counts. I know that we can export this data via the Microsoft 365 Compliance Center, but my client does not allow tenant access due to data privacy concerns. Could you please advise on how we can achieve this? Specifically, I need to collect SharePoint document and file access user details daily and connect this data to Google Analytics on daily basis. If you have step by step instruction details or if you have alternate way to achieve this let me know. Regards, Gokul
SharePoint List - How to open Edit Current View option in same Tab
Hi All, Currently I am using SharePoint Online site collection. In that list if I click on Edit current view option from any view then it open in new Tab to edit view settings. How to open that in the same Tab? As in SharePoint 2013 if you modify list view then it opens in same Tab so this same behavior want in SharePoint Online. Hi Team I have the InfoPath form which is connected with SharePoint list in the list i have added the new column and also i have added the new textbox in the InfoPath designer but while submitting the data the column value is not storing to the DataSource. Hi All, I am using SharePoint Online site collection. I have created Left navigation menus with sub menus. I want this menus should be expandable in SharePoint Online site. I wonder if someone can guide me to a PowerShell script that I can run which will: Generate a list of all Classic SharePoint sites I have, Include all of the subsites of those sites, Gather useful information about them (Name, URL, Owners, Members, last usage, storage etc etc.) Generate a CSV file with the list TIA!
Pagination not showing in Modern View
Hi All, I am using SharePoint Online site. In this list I am using all Modern View list. I am setting Item limit 30 but in that list I have more than 1000 items. But it is not showing pagination just like it was showing in SharePoint 2013 pagination like 1-30 .... Can anyone please help us how to show pagination in new SharePoint Online Modern view? Steps taken: Modified a few site pages to separate the text and the images and published. Navigated to site contents > site settings > changed the URL from ending in "settings.aspx" to "savetmpl.aspx" as I have done before from the same site to save it as a site template. Filled up the fields for the file name, etc. Made sure to tick the checkbox to include the content and clicked OK. Site loads and ends up displaying this: Unable to convert the HeaderColorIndexInLightMode XML attribute for the WebTemplate XML element for feature {insert GUID} to a positive integer value Context: Also tried to export another site as a site template but same error. Tried to import a pre-existing site template (first backup) into a new SharePoint site but same error. Double checked and made sure that the following is true before trying to save template again but same error occurred: Custom script has been allowed. SharePoint Server Publishing Feature remained deactivated. No corrupted files in site assets or in the site pages. Content Approval Settings: Require content approval for submitted items is still set to NO. Tried using another account with global admin role and site owner full control access to do above steps but did not work as well. Can somebody please help me on this? I'm not sure what else I could do to be able to save this as a template :(
Suddenly disappearing of Heading in Sharepoint
I am working on the Microsoft App on Mac (version 16.93(25011212)) using SharePoint, together with a Windows device (I’m not sure if this could be the issue).
