Sharpoint Automation efforts to drop email attachments

Hey All!

I am very green when it comes to sharepoint and its capabilities so bare with me. 

We are attempting to automate our reporting processes through sharepoint, we currently have splunk generating reports and emailing them over to sharepoint but we cannot find a way for sharepoint to drop the attachment within the email. Is there a native way within sharepoint where we can "drop" the attachment within an email and save just the attachment? at the moment it saves the entire email.... where we only need the attachment.
