Since this morning several client versions of excel that have a pointing to sharepoint (our tenant) give the following message; does this happen to anyone else?

micheleariis, we started having the same problem today. This fixed it for me:
Control Panel > Internet Options > Security Tab > Trusted Sites > Click Sites > Enter https://mycompanyname.sharepoint.com with mycompanyname being whatever your sharepoint subdomain is. Mine had mycompanyname-files.shaepoint.com and mycompanyname-myfiles.sharepoint.com but not the normal one. That fixed it for me.

We are also facing the same issue and not resolved so far
Waiting for Microsoft team to work urgently on the fix- gerhardbothaTin ContributorI opened an Excel sheet, clicked on "file", "account", "update options" and then "update now". After I restarted the computer it worked. Not sure if this is the "professional" way, but it worked for me.
- SJP4272Copper ContributorIt worked!! Thank you for this!

Your fix in the Internet Options > Trusted Sites > add site of https://companyname.sharepoint.com worked for me too! Thank you!
- Dante_MartinoTin ContributorYup. The same exact thing began happening to my users this morning as well. Users who work on Excel spreadsheets from SharePoint online get this error every time they open. Was not an issue yesterday 7-30-24. Became an issue this morning.
- Let's hope they solve it as soon as possible.

Trust you are well.
Has this issue been sorted out already?
As a lot of our user's in our company is having this issue now.
- Even our users still have problems.
I hope for a resolution from Microsoft; I wouldn't want to go handing out policies and exceptions on devices.
