SharePoint 365 Hub Planning Documentation
I am working on a new hub for a client, but I will not be able to have access to build it out. I am doing the sitemap and taxonomy and will transfer all this info to their in house SharePoint admins. What is the best way to communicate lists, custom column names, functionality, workflows, web parts and document libraries. In the past we would put all this info into a an excel spreadsheet, but its extremely tedious. Is there an easier to capture the documentation of the planning of this site?
Could someone point in the right direction for an example?

Hello,
My recommendation would be to break it into different parts. Instead of doing everything at the same time, start with the Hub site and connected sites.
Next, continue with the top navigation. When you have the "skeleton" in place, you could go into detail for what pages should be there, with the necessary web parts etc.
My understanding is that you are an experienced M365 administrator/super-user. Could you not be allowed to build this in a test environment? Or at least, be given a PoC hub site with three connected sites? So that you can build the PoC for the customer?
My recommendation would be to use a Word document and include Visio to simplify explanation.
Yours sincerely,
