Recent activity feature in list and library
Hi SharePoint Users,
There is this new feature in SharePoint Online list and libraries where you can see the recent activities associated with an item. Will this capture the entire history of an item say for 1 year or does this have a limit of showing only the latest 10 changes?
I know there is this option of version control to track the history, but this feature looks lighter and easier to use if you don't need to maintain the old versions.
Any inputs appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin
- For sure it does not display what has happened to the item/document for a year...I would say it shows last actions on it and the time period is limited to your tenant subscription...for an E3 / Business / Premium I would bet 90 days and for E5 180 days - 1 year

Hi kevingeorget,
The doc is a little out of date (note to self to fix :) ) but if you're talking about the activity feed (same type of info but a new look and some new activities), then it will only persist for 60 days in all cases. Hope that helps! Thanks!

StephenRice Is there an API endpoint or equivalent to this activity feed, or something parsable (e.g. RSS or Odata) in Power Query? I'd like to use this in Excel and Power BI.

Hi Olivier Travers,
We do have a Graph API for activity that you can find details on here:
Hope that helps!
