Can't edit home page or delete freshly created sites

Hello guys,

I am unable to modify my home page located on address https://company.sharepoint.com/default.aspx the edit button is just not here. My account is in group with full access.

Second problem when I open office 365 ->  Share Point -> create web it create new site on address

https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/NewSite but i am unable to remove the page or even access it. There's no one else who could change my permissions.

https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/NewSite2 can see, browse, but can't delete (getting page "you don't have permissions but you can ask for. Ok request send and waiting for approval but by who if i was only one who created the page...)

https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/NewSite3 can see, browse and delete

all without touching permissions

In both cases when trying to access  https://company.sharepoint.com/default.aspx  or https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/NewSite/default.aspx  I am getting error like "You don't have permissions to open the site from SP Designer"

My account in Office365 was created as admin account, full access...

Any ideas? Thx

Try to get the SharePoint administrator rights to do the required operations.

  • Just because youa365 admin doesn’t give you access to Sharepoint sites. You have to be explicitly added as site collection admin to have full rights to sites. Handled via being owner of s group or through Sharepoint admin. Center.

Make sure you have scripting enabled on tenant level. Enable it via SPO Admin Center and wait 24hrs or use Powershell: Set-SPOSite -Identity https://<yourdomain>.sharepoint.com -DenyAddAndCustomizePages $false
