MS Outlook 2024 LTSC automatically gets closed and later not getting open
In Outlook 2024 LTSC, the application suddenly stops and closed automatically. Later troubleshooting, it is observed that it doesn't even open in safe mode. Tried to create a new profile where it is not able to search the user from exchange and automatically redirect to Microsoft 365 login page whereas our mail server works in exchange mode. Even after reinstalling the MS office 2024, it is not able to search the user and redirects to Microsoft 365 login page.
What is the issue and resolution.

Treat the crash and the Microsoft 365 redirection as two related but separately testable failures. First sign in to the mailbox through its normal webmail URL. If webmail works, the mailbox is healthy. On the PC, open Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application and capture the Outlook faulting module and exception code from the latest crash.
Create a temporary Windows user profile and try Outlook there. If Outlook opens, the damage is in the original Windows profile, credentials, or Outlook configuration rather than the Office installation. If it also fails, run an Online Repair from Installed apps and check security software or a faulting Office component identified in Event Viewer.
For the profile wizard redirect, your Exchange administrator should test the Autodiscover URL from the affected network and verify internal DNS, the Service Connection Point, certificate names, and virtual-directory authentication. Do not enter Microsoft 365 credentials if this is an on-premises-only mailbox. A reinstall does not change DNS or Autodiscover, which explains why it did not resolve the behavior.
Based on your description, the issue does not appear to be related to the Office installation itself, since reinstalling Office did not change the behavior.
The more significant symptom is that Outlook is unable to discover the Exchange mailbox and instead redirects to a Microsoft 365 sign-in page when creating a new profile. This may indicate an Autodiscover configuration issue, a hybrid environment misconfiguration, cached credentials, or a problem reaching the Exchange services.
I would recommend checking:
- Autodiscover functionality for the affected user.
- Outlook Connectivity Test (Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer).
- Windows Credential Manager for stale Microsoft 365 or Exchange credentials.
- Exchange virtual directories and Autodiscover SCP configuration.
- Whether the issue affects only one workstation or multiple devices/users.
Since Outlook is also crashing before opening, reviewing the Windows Event Viewer (Application logs) for Outlook crash events and faulting modules may provide additional clues.
