Loving the improvements in the latest version, however there looks to be an inconsistency in the guidance in your original post regarding user consent. The article states that "Consent is not required in the following cases:
- If the OneDrive app was deployed and managed through an MDM tool. MDM-managed applications are considered to have implied consent by the administrator."
We are deploying the M365 apps via Endpoint/Intune, which uses the in-built deployment and is documented https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/mem/intune/apps/apps-add-office365-macOS. This works well, however, on a test mac (running Monterey 12.4 on Apple Silicon, DEP/ABM enabled) the user is still being prompted for consent as shown below:
Can you advise how we can correct this behaviour and have consent pre-approved by the MDM configuration policies etc. please?

Hi, I have recently started using standalone version of OneDrive on my latest Mac OS. My internal drive has less space so I use external drive to keep OneDrive folder and sync everything from there. I also keep them available offline so I can use them without internet. Also, they are part of spotlight search so I can search for files as well as content inside them. I cant figure out a way to achieve same using new app. It keeps everything in internal drive and uses external drive as cache which is a hidden folder and cant be used by Spotlight. Also, when I double click on a file it seems to keep a copy on both internal and external drive cache. Can you advise on below two things?
1. I don't want to use Internal drive for downloading OneDrive files due to limited space. I want to keep everything in external drive without involvement of internal drive (this is how it used to work before with Intel version of OneDrive app available in App Store)
2. How can I use Spotlight to search inside files? I have thousand of PDF documents and I should be able to search them using Spotlight. Right now, it keeps them in the cache folder located in my external drive which is hidden and not part of Spotlight search.

Ankita Kirti Hi I have an issue on my two Macs: after a few days on, the OneDrive status icon disappear from Finder windows... That's quite annoying as there is no way to make sure a file has been synced or to checked whether a file is shared with others or note.
The only way to fix the issue is to quit and relaunch OneDrive or the Finder...
- JeremyGuthrieCopper ContributorMay 2nd release (22077.0410) did NOT fix the CPU issue(s).
- JeremyGuthrieCopper ContributorThis still is not fixed. I am still continuing to see high CPU.

JeremyGuthrie same. 200% with zero files being synched.
if I wanted to just eat CPU while doing nothing, i’d use Slack.
- mpearl003Copper ContributorAre you able to configure the local datastore or cache on the Mac to be automatically encrypted as part of this feature?
- YaYaTurreCopper ContributorI am running OneDrive version 22.033.0213.0002. Even though I have instructed OneDrive to download all files to my hard drive, it is still showing both the check mark and the "not downloaded" cloud icon. What is the problem? Can someone help me? Thanks.

CPU usages is still NOT fixed. Mac OS 12.3, latest MS software.
Can someone please reply back with what if anything are next steps here? I opened a case and got the 'sorry, we know about this problem' a bit ago. Are we at a spot where you need some of us to re-open cases to look closer at what is happening?
Any updates?
- MitchNLGovCopper ContributorI’m on the newest beta as described.
When I create a local folder to store offline files in, the folder is still removed after installation. It keeps moving or replacing itself to the cloudstorage folder in the library section.
I’ve tried everything from making a folder available to clicking the button in preferences to just have all files offline available. Still, I can’t find a way to use any other custom folder to download and sync files to.
How do I avoid using the cloudstorage folder?
Note: I’m doing this so I can access my files from other virtual desktops like Citrix Workspace that can not connect to OneDrive. To do so, the files must be in an actual local folder. - JeremyGuthrieCopper Contributor
CPU Issue are still there. They are not fixed.
- JayMarroquinBrass ContributorChecking in on the circus. Yep, still here. How a bunch of clowns were put in charge of this redesign and deployment is beyond me.
