Files On-Demand for macOS QA
Hi, I have recently started using standalone version of OneDrive on my latest Mac OS. My internal drive has less space so I use external drive to keep OneDrive folder and sync everything from there. I also keep them available offline so I can use them without internet. Also, they are part of spotlight search so I can search for files as well as content inside them. I cant figure out a way to achieve same using new app. It keeps everything in internal drive and uses external drive as cache which is a hidden folder and cant be used by Spotlight. Also, when I double click on a file it seems to keep a copy on both internal and external drive cache. Can you advise on below two things?
1. I don't want to use Internal drive for downloading OneDrive files due to limited space. I want to keep everything in external drive without involvement of internal drive (this is how it used to work before with Intel version of OneDrive app available in App Store)
2. How can I use Spotlight to search inside files? I have thousand of PDF documents and I should be able to search them using Spotlight. Right now, it keeps them in the cache folder located in my external drive which is hidden and not part of Spotlight search.
