Video Uploads Failing in Teams and Chats
Hi. Migrated to Teams and adoption is not going well due to errors with video uploads.
The company used WhatsApp prior, and it worked. But since it’s not compliant, we moved to teams. There’s a lot of communication via video uploads. Occasionally, the video uploads and is available for a few minutes. Then a message comes up on the video “File from (Name) failed” and has a red exclamation. The video is under files and opens in Stream but is not available in chat. Other times, the video fails to upload completely.
Any idea what is happening here?

- Could you please share some more details about how are you uploading the videos, the size they have, etc?
- Hi. The file was about 3MB and he went into a Teams’ Chat, hit record in selfie mode and posted. I was able to access the video 3 minutes after he posted. Others were too. 5-7 minutes later, the video post showed the “File from (name) failed” error and was no longer clickable by anyone. I clicked the file tab at the top middle of the chat and the video was there. If this was anyone but the CEO, I wouldn’t stress this but he uses it weekly for critical communication to the entire company.
