Users stay 'available' when computer logged off/turned off
Hi All,
I have a bunch of users that despite being fully logged out of Windows 10 Pro and their computer is turned off, their Teams status remains 'available'. In the current environment where many of our workers are distributed and offsite, I would like to find a correction.
Thanks for your help.

If you could please ask the user who is experiencing the incorrect presence go to the bottom left of their client where the little question mark is and submit feedback, that will notify the Teams team of the issue. We are looking at some presence inconsistencies right now and this data will help us identify what might be causing it. Like Juan Carlos said, it might be due to some of the things the service is doing to focus resources on other areas of the product but it'd be great to get the information from that users machine. Thank you so much for reporting!
- Teams uses a polling system to get presence, if you reopen teams, or click on a user that logged off or hover over their initials / photo it should poll and update and show unavailable. This is assuming they are not on their mobile devices logged in and active.
Real Time presence update for Teams is on the Roadmap for release which should improve this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=52395- To add to Chris comments, due to the heavy use of Teams, the change on the status of users is not updated so frequently as it was before the COVID-19
