Users receiving Teams Notifications for other people's meetings
- Jul 10, 2025
Yes, this can happen and is usually linked to how Teams and Outlook manage group and calendar permissions. If User 3 is part of a Microsoft 365 group, shared mailbox, or a Teams channel where the meeting was created, they may receive notifications even if they aren’t directly invited. It can also occur if User 3 has delegate access to another user's calendar. Sometimes, it's just a sync or notification bug. It’s best to check group memberships, calendar permissions, and where the meeting was created to confirm.
