Unable to sign in Microsoft Teams
Dear fellow Microsoft community members,
Hope everyone is well and safe.
We had been trying for the longest time to sign in and use Microsoft Teams for our organisation. However, we keep getting the screen saying our account has been pre-registered, please contact the admin of your company. Unfortunately, we didn't have any record of the initial registration and what we would like to do is to reset the whole thing and start new registration. Is there any suggestion how we could use Team in such circumstances? We are subscriber to Microsoft 365.
Many thanks,
Kyin

kyin888 Hello, it certainly sounds as if a user has signed up for a self-service subscription. Try this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/misc/become-the-admin?view=o365-worldwide

Hi ChristianBergstrom, thank you for your suggestion. I tried to follow the instructions in the link by determining the power tenant and sign up for Power BI but it can't seem to work. Is there any way we can find out who the 'admin' is?

kyin888 As far as I know this is the process to do it and you will be notified about the licenses during the procedure.
- Self-service sign-up: This is the method by which a user signs up for a cloud service and has an identity automatically created for them in Azure AD based on their email domain.
- Unmanaged Azure AD directory: This is the directory where that identity is created. An unmanaged directory is a directory that has no global administrator.
See this page for info on how to manage self-service purchases in general
