Unable to remove Developer Preview and only have Public Preview
I enabled Public Preview in the Teams Admin Center but for some reason when I go to Teams > About it says I have Developer Preview enabled and Public Preview enabled. I clicked Developer Preview hoping it would remove it but it also removed Public Preview. According to this Microsoft Doc in order to enable Dev Preview the ability to upload custom apps needs to enabled in Teams apps > Setup Policies > Global. I checked that and mine is not enabled. So why do I get Dev Preview? I just want Public Preview so any idea how to remove Developer Preview?
RichLusk You can't separate them, public preview always enables developer preview.
- AnqB0VVRJMzsO6zVIron Contributorhi steven, do you know why they can't separate?
you know it's wired they have their own name but always shows as a coupleAnqB0VVRJMzsO6zV I'm not sure entirely, but it's best to think about Public Preview as a release ring, just like the the various dogfood and TAP rings. Perhaps the features of Dev Preview (there aren't that many) also get deployed to the Public Preview ring, otherwise Microsoft would need to have even more different Rings to allow you to turn them on and off.

StevenC365 Thank you for the quick reply and answer. The reason I asked is because when I have Public Preview enabled the option to create an Org-Wide Team no longer appears. When I turn off Public Preview I can create Org-Wide Teams. Any idea why? I thought maybe the Developer Preview was causing it so that's why I asked.
RichLusk I can confirm I get the same, it would look like the Org Wide team feature didn't get deployed to Public Preview, I'll ask Microsoft why. We've seen it can be a mistake before when something gets missed.
