Teams on iOS opens tabs in a browser and not in the app

- Oct 01, 2019The Documents library tab, basically does some form of iframing to the SharePoint doc library. The Files tab in Teams currently is built using the Teams API/controls so it's a native experience. They are changing the default files tab to use a similar experience to the Doc Lib tab. I'm not 100% sure if the mobile app will be getting an update here, but probably will use the existing experience.
What you can probably do to get a better mobile experience is utilize the "Cloud Storage" option and link a folder in the default files tab to connect to another doc lib elsewhere. I believe this will allow access in the native Teams app to another library.
