Teams missing GIF option in messaging
This morning we noticed the GIF option in Teams messaging is missing org wide.
Desktop and Web client.
Old messages that were sent with a GIF display as a link now instead of the image
Our global org policy in the Admin porta is set to On
Anyone else seeing this?
Looks like Microsoft is working on fixing it.

How is this marked as a solution? Seems folks are still having this issue and everything on the net seems to point at this post lol 🤣
Is it just the fact that they are "working on fixing it"?
We are also in GCC and it is down for us.

I was trying to send a funny GIF to a coworker today in Microsoft Teams, but the GIF section that usually shows up when you want to search and insert GIFs is completely gone. I couldn’t find it anywhere in the chat window.
At first, I figured maybe my IT department disabled it since I work for the State - Department of Health & Human Services. But if other people are also missing the GIF section, then it seems like a Teams-wide issue.
I attached a screenshot of what mine looks like. It would usually be located somewhere in-between ALL, Emojis and the Stickers tab but today there's not even an option for it.
It’s really annoying when you want to add a little fun to your messages and can’t.
My team is experiencing the same issue, about 50% of my staff were missing GIFs at the start of the day and as the day continues it's now disappearing from other peoples accounts. It's definitely put a damper on the Friday vibe at work today 😆
We are also having the issue
This looks to be an outage. I've heard from quite a few different tenants that are missing them today.
Some of our users, including a Teams Admin, are reporting this issue. I am still able to send GIFs but they are not. They do not have URL Preview either. It seems like Optional Connect Experiences is turned off, but when they look in Settings, Privacy, they do not even see Optional Connect Experiences. I checked the Admin Portal, where GIPHYs are still enabled. Very bizarre.
