Teams Meeting Audio cuts out when 2nd call is incoming
Hello all,
Just in the past day or two, it seems an old issue has resurfaced. I was in a Teams Meeting, using Bose headphones connected to my laptop via Bluetooth. When a 2nd call came in, the MEETING AUDIO cut out until I took action on the 2nd incoming call. I remember this happening a long, long time ago, and it was related to Bluetooth devices. It fixed itself over time. I've had a couple of users here report the same thing - they are using AirPods or other BT devices for their Teams Meetings and calls.
If I am in a meeting or on a call using my USB-connected wireless headset, I have no issues with meeting audio, and I am able to hear both the meeting and the incoming call ring.
Wondered if anyone else has noticed this issue with Bluetooth headphones in the past couple days?
I am using "New" Teams, v23320.3021.2567.4799(preview)
and The client version is 49/23113028718
Thanks!
- EWoodrickIron ContributorI believe that the audio is cut to allow the ring tone to come out.
Seems that your ring tone should be coming out another device- Robin9355Copper Contributor
EWoodrick Hi there, and thanks for chiming in!
The audio cut-out is a newly surfaced issue - and only happens with Bluetooth devices. I have in the past used my BT headphones while in a meeting and had a 2nd call come through - I could hear both the meeting and the ringtone. So I suspect a recent Teams App update perhaps. Just wondered if anyone else has noticed this.
As I mentioned...if I use a USB-connected headset, the issue does not occur.
