sign in blocked
my son's teacher is holding class through microsoft teams. however, when he logs in according to the instructions, he gets this message:
"Your sign-in was blocked
We've detected something unusual about this sign-in. For example, you might be signing in from a new location, device, or app. Before you can continue, we need to verify your identity. Please contact your admin."
we have contacted the teacher and she does not know what to do. we have contacted the school system, and the person who answered the phone said that they don't know what to do either.
what needs to be done so that my son can go to class?

It sounds as if the school has Conditional Access, and/or Identity Protection policies defined, and the login attempt has for some reason triggered one of those policies and blocked access.
Ask the school IT department if they can check for this. If they don't know what this is, then it is very likely that a third party is managing their Microsoft 365 services for them. Ask them if they could escalate to the third party.
