Selective read-only access for team?
I have a Team that includes both technical people and sales people.
There are some files in the team that should only be editable by techs and some files that should only be edited by the sales team.
Is it possible to implement controls like this in Teams and if so, how?
Thanks in advance,
Z
- UserzeroCopper ContributorThank you both for the replies!
Would I basically create two new groups, one for techs and one for sales, then apply permissions while also removing "members" access to the file?- Exactly. Just remember any owners will have permissions to everything regardless due to site collection admin access for owners.

ChrisWebbTech - Awesome, thanks for confirming.
I had to poke around for a bit, but i was able to create the groups.
Should i remove permissions from "members"?
Does Teams/MSFT take a most restrictive or least restrictive stance on the policies?
- Teams relies on SharePoint Online to store files and SPO allows to configure security per file, so the use case described should be possible through document level security
- v803742Brass ContributorOn the Files tab - select Open in SharePoint and you can set permission for each group. Regards, Anthony
