I have no issues using the "old" version of teams. The problem only occurs in the "new" version. In a meeting all incoming video turns black (including shared screens). my image "floats" in the middle of the screen and is also frozen. The "mini" window when I minimize the application during a meeting show live/unfrozen incoming video of the speaker. tfurlong YOU DA MAN for finding the root cause of this! So for everyone including non-Dell people, here is the gist of how it works, and the "right way" to fix it (not disabling anything). I'm writing this for "every person" and not just techies, so forgive the verboseness.Go to "C:\ProgramData\A-Volute". You will see some folders like this (ASUS shown, just follow the concept and you should be able to fix it for any brand of MB or computer that uses Nahimic). If there are multiple folders like mine has, find the one that has a ...\Modules\ScheduledModules\Configurator folder already existing in it, and there should be a BlackApps.dat file in that folder. This is Nahimic's exclusions file. Run Notepad as administrator (find notepad in the start menu, right-click it, then run as admin). In Notepad, go to "open file", then navigate to the BlackApps.dat file you found in the last step. Insert at the bottom of the file (there will be a whole slew of exclusions already in the file, just add these lines at the bottom):ms-teams.exemsedgewebview2.exe Exit and save the file. Restart the Nahimic service and restart Teams Reboot, and it should work. People have reported other dependencies that they needed to restart besides Teams and Nahimic, so just make it easy on yourself and reboot.

I'm experiencing this issue as well, and have been for several months with the 'new' Teams. Switching back to the previous Teams corrects the issue.Teams version: 23257.2610.2399.1040.The client version is 49/23090112236Updated on 26/09/23Graphics card is Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 running driver version 537.42.The webcam in use is USB connected to the desktop PC.Interestingly, it seems to capture the camera output at the moment the call is connected and freeze-frames that particular frame. Toggling the camera on and off again doesn't affect this frozen behaviour.The camera feed is not frozen for anyone else on the call they, they can see me moving in real time, and screen sharing doesn't appear to be affected by this.

I fixed it! I have an Alienware laptop, and I remembered another app that had complained about a DLL that gets inserted when hardware-accelerated apps run.This is the post with the solution:https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/alienware/m17-r2-wpf-apps-distorted-disappearing-window-contents/647f97adf4ccf8a8deab68cc#M47499I edited BlackApps.dat to add 2 lines:ms-teams.exemsedgewebview2.exeThen I rebooted and was able to successfully do a test call, which I hadn't been able to do before.

Not quite what seems to have fixed it for me, but it did lead me to find a Windows service called 'NahimicService'. I stopped and disabled the service and can confirm that New Teams is working for me now in the small amount of testing I have done.(What is NahimicService: https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/jrb7cj/what_is_nahimicservice/)

I have a support call open with them and have pointed the engineers to this thread to understand the problem further.Edit: Forgot to add - they now have network captures, screen recordings and Teams logs when the issue occurs. Hopefully they can find the problem out quickly.

second that. exactly the same issue.

it is specific to the computer so I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the graphics driver.
I have NVidia RTX 4o7o, updated drivers couple of time. there are no settings in new teams to disable some accelerations.

    The same issue with just New Teams, NVIDIA 4070.
    Very annoying.
    When a remote participant shares the screen, all gets frozen and I have to do "leave/join" to get the video working.

  I have an AMD Radeon RX 6800 with the most updated driver. Not sure what I can to solve this. Maybe MS will see this and add some graphics debugging to send a log or something.

    I have a NVIDIA RTX 3080; i tried updating drivers, but it didn't change anything.
    I agree that a graphics log/debugging is probably a good idea from MS; let's hope this will get resolve soon.

I have the same exact problem; old Teams works as expected, but new Teams freeze cameras (incoming and outgoing) as soon as participants join in.

I have tried clearing cache, reinstalling new teams but still haven't got it to work.

Any idea would be welcome 🙂
