MS Teams desktop app kills background sound on bluetooth.

Hello;

 

Use case: Multiple sound source: ex. spotify and Teams call. I want to be on call and have music in background.

 

1. With wired (usb) headphones and teams desktop app - OK

2. With wired (usb) headphones and teams web app - OK

3. With wireless (BT) headphones and teams desktop app - NOK. All sounds are killed, just teams meeting.

4. With wireless (BT) headphones and teams web app - OK

 

Why teams desktop app kills sounds being connected by bluetooth and how to fix it?

    Hi Kamil970 

     

    Hard to say what the problem is. Microsoft have a certification program where audio devices are certified for Teams. They check quality of microphones and bluetooth connection before a device can be certified. One requirement is to use a bluetooth dongle to connect the audio device since the built-in bluetooth in the computer can be of low quality.
