Monitoring for chats...
Hi,,
When you are looking for Teams user, you can find her/his calls and meetings. But from where I can find details about the chats? When it has been started, how many messages etc..
I'm not expecting to see the content of the chat.
Petri-X you can't see it for an individual easily, but there are the usage reports if you want to see the trend in your organisation. Last time I looked, a good while ago, the Office 365 adoption reports (Power BI reports) you could see the message volumes for individual users.

StevenC365 sorry to interrupt but I can't find how to create new threads / messages. Can you help please? And how will you reply to me? I have been given a profile but not an @ID.
(I have a major problem and no one in the Microsoft Community can help.)

You have to navigate all the way down into a sub community. For example this one here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/bd-p/MicrosoftTeams then you get a Start New conversation button right there at the top, not hard to miss. If you don't see it then you probably have to verify your e-mail or something like that, but since you are replying to this thread, you already probably have done that. Not sure what you mean by @id, by replying to this it populates, which you will see when I hit reply.
- KrisDebSteel ContributorHave you checked in the Teams admin centre?
https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/analytics/reports
Not much but I use it regularly to generate CSV reports including:
Id DisplayName LastActivity (UTC Time) ChannelMessages ChatMessages 1:1 Calls
