Mobile number not showing in Teams

Hello all

Maybe someone here can give me some information. I didn't get an answer in the Citrix forum.

Simple question.

User A and User B have an office phone number and a mobile phone number in AD and AzureAD.
When user A calls user B from his mobile phone, only the number is displayed in Teams in Citrix, but not the name of user A. On another device on which Teams is installed native, i.e. not running in a Citrix session, the number and the name are displayed.
Is this normal behaviour and mobile numbers are not displayed in Citrix or is this an error?

Teams native installd on a PCTeams in citrix session

regards

Andy

    Hi Sergius,

The behavior you described, where the name of User A is not displayed when calling User B from a mobile phone in Teams running within a Citrix session, could be attributed to the configuration or limitations of the Citrix environment. Here are a few points to consider:

    1. Citrix Environment: The behavior you're experiencing might be specific to the Citrix environment, which could have its own settings and configurations that affect the display of caller information.

    2. Integration and Configuration: Teams integration within Citrix might have specific configurations or limitations that impact the display of caller information. It's possible that certain features or functionalities, such as caller identification, are not fully supported or enabled within the Citrix environment.

    3. Citrix and Teams Updates: Ensure that you have the latest updates installed for both Citrix and Teams, as updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can address such issues.

    4. Support and Documentation: Reach out to Citrix support or consult the Citrix documentation to understand the specific behavior and limitations related to Teams integration within Citrix. They can provide more insight into how caller information is handled in the Citrix environment.

The issue you're having might not be a direct issue with Teams but rather a result of the Citrix environment's configuration or limitations. Consulting with Citrix support can provide more specialized guidance for your specific Citrix deployment.

    Kindest regards

      Hello Leon

      Thank you for your answer.
We are currently using Teams and Citrix for exactly the reason you described.
Both products are very dynamic and the interaction is constantly being improved.

I'm not really getting anywhere with Citrix support. They can't/won't answer my question without a deeper analysis. This is of course perfectly understandable if there is a problem, but I would like to know first if this behaviour is normal. If this behaviour is not normal, it would be well worth investing time to clarify it in more detail.
Currently it seems that we are the only ones in the world who use Team / Citrix and Mobile numbers. I would absolutely appreciate it if someone could confirm what the behaviour should be.

        Hello MySergius,

        thanks for the update.

Looking through Microsoft documentiation I haven't find anything related that the option of showing the number using Microsoft Teams in Citrix is not possible (or not supported).

I would still recommend contacting the official support channels of both Microsoft Teams and Citrix. Contacting the support teams directly will allow you to discuss your specific scenario and inquire about the expected behavior. They have the expertise to assist you further and address any concerns or issues you may be facing with the integration between Teams, Citrix, and mobile numbers.

        Kindest regards

        Leon
