Microsoft Teams Call Volume too Quiet

I think I found the answer. I tried fixing volume every which way and then I found this way:
When you are in teams, on the left side panel select TEAMS
Before any meeting actually occurs, click the upper right hand "Meet" button, with the camera logo.
That opens a meeting dialogue box.
On my laptop, the volume was set right down, so just set it up higher. It must be done when you are not already in a meeting
Now I just check it at the start of the day, because at one point, it did reset to low, and I have no idea why,
