Microsoft team meetings help help

I have had 3-4 different people send me invites through Microsoft teams on my windows 10 laptop. All occasions I have not been able to successfully connect with people? I don't understand the issue. It was so bad a couple of people just called me because we could not connect. I even downloaded this Microsoft teams app hoping this would help. I don't see a way of testing this. I called Microsoft that wont and cant set up a meeting with me. I have lost out on a couple of interviews and doctor visits because of this. I have no issues with skype or zoom. I have a important video call tomorrow and I have no idea if I will be able to connect. Can someone with help or advise?
