Hey Leon,
Thanks for responding. For #1 above, I tried it on the web version and it works as desired, showing the pictures as desired. For #2a, I deleted the cache and restarted teams (actually I did this several times, but the cache was already cleared) and the pictures don't appear, just the circles with initials. I believe I am working on the classic version of teams. In checking the version it doesn't say whether classic or new, but here is what it says: You have Microsoft Teams version 23335.232.2637.4844.
You've got the latest version. It was last updated on 2/13/2024.
The client version is 49/24010419128.
Any more ideas?

Hi mugshotmike,
it looks like the Desktop version is causing the issue.
Can you switch to a new Microsoft Teams and let me know if the same issue exist?
- mugshotmikeFeb 13, 2024Copper ContributorAs I understand it, if I change to New Teams (and I have a little switch that will supposedly allow me to do that) it will not let me go back. I'm averse to doing that right at this moment, though it looks like it will happen automatically in March. I guess I'll have to wait until then. Thanks for your help, though.

Hi mugshotmike,
thanks for the Update.
If you change to New Microsoft Teams, you will still have the ability to change back to classic Teams (at least until 31. March 2024 when all classic Microsoft Teams users will be automatically changed to the New Teams).
I recommend you to test if this issue is connected with the use of classic Microsoft Teams client and the new Microsoft Teams.
You can simply switch back to classic Microsoft Teams by clicking on the Windows start button > by searching for teams > clicking on the Microsoft Teams classic.- mugshotmikeFeb 14, 2024Copper ContributorHey, Leon, I just found out that I am currently on the new Teams app. I couldn't find out if I was or wasn't until I clicked the switch to go to new Teams and found out that I was already on it. So, we're still having troubles with getting profile pictures to show up in chats and channels, we're all on new Teams, and I've cleared the cache as you suggested. Thanks for sticking with me on this. It seems that there is an administrator setting that is preventing this, but I can't find the path to that setting. Do you know how I can find it?
