How do I change the colour/color New Teams chat background to light GREY/GRAY?
Hi, I have upgraded to the new Teams and find the white background in CHAT is too harsh on my eyes. I checked the old version of the app and it is light grey there. I also checked the training videos for the new app and the background is light grey on there too.
How do I get the light grey background? I saw the blog regarding the Classic Theme for Teams 2.1 and it is light grey on there https://microsoft365pro.co.uk/2023/08/20/teams-real-simple-with-pictures-bringing-the-classic-theme-to-teams-2-1-and-applying-explicit-recording-consent/
I have Microsoft Teams (work or school) Version 23306.3314.2555.9268. Is this version 2.1?
I have tried the different themes.
Light = white back ground
Dark = dark grey background
Classic = white background
High Contrast = black background

unfortunately, there isn't a direct option to set the chat background color to light grey in Microsoft Teams.
As you mentioned you have 5 options for Microsoft Teams Design:
- Adapt to the design of the operating system- Light
- Dark
- Classic
- High Contrast
The version you have, "23306.3314.2555.9268," has a publication date of December 05, 2023. Therefore, based on the information provided, your version is indeed a newer release of Microsoft Teams.
