False positive: Teams can't hear you

I'm trying to get rid of this notification: "Teams can't hear you".

Dismiss is only temporary, it will appear again another day.

Is there any way I can tell teams that my microphone has a very low base noise level.

Ideally Teams would see that the selected microphone is a model that has no noise level and not give this warning.

My conclusion is that there is no option to turn of this warning, and the algorithm behind the warning does not take into account the model of the microphone.

Agreed, I have a good XLR mic that has high directionality, and I get this message. I also get it when I activate my hardware mute. The message needs to have a "dismiss forever" option.

I am also experiencing this problem. It appears that any good quality microphone is going to trigger this warning - repeatedly - and there is no way to turn it off. How silly.

I have the same problem, but this is worse than reported. My mic has its own hardware mute button, which I prefer to use. So the fact that Teams can't hear anything is EXPECTED since my mic is muted. The constant message about "Teams can't hear you" is super annoying. Why not spend 1 hour of dev and add a setting to TURN THAT MESSAGE OFF??!!

Microsoft never thought of this scenario, and apparently none of their 100,000 employees have a mic that mutes.

I'm in the same boat. I have a hardware mute that is very convenient to use and I'm getting this message constantly. Given that Teams is a Microsoft product it's not too surprising to me.

No sure what you're referring to.

Are you saying that teams does take in account what microphone is being used and if it's one of those with low noise level it will not show the notification?

This is the current noise levels, left is the webcam and right is the Yeti microphone.

When speaking into the microphone the levels are good.

It's just that audio is completely silent when I'm not speaking - which is good.

I understand why the warning is there.

It's a good warning for most people, but with my microphone the notification is triggered by a false positive so I would like to turn off completely.
