Chat externe Teams
Moin ich versuche in einem Unternehmensaccount andere Unternehmensbenutzer einer externen Firma die Teams nutzt per Chat zu erreichen. Das funktioniert auch. Aber nur bei Emailadressen die nicht...
- Why is teams finding a skype account and not directly the teams ad account?
Well, I would say why are users setting up Skype accounts with corporate credentials?
That is a solution - and that will solve it I have seen it several times. Microsoft doesn't disclose why it would pick Skype over Teams - but the problem is not about fixing Microsoft - if you want to see that change that it prioritises a search in Teams before Skype then raise it on Uservoice - it is about fixing it in this given situation. The other possible way is adding the users as guests to a Team in the environment and then chat with them that way, but that is only a workaround

It sounds like the other company is doing a migration from Skype to Teams or has some users on Teams and some on Skype for Business (In a state called Island Mode). You would want to have the other users move all of their users to Teams Only Mode to have the best experience of chat

That should resolve it and then you shouldn't see Skype anymore, or the Skype logo whilst chatting

- no. thats all old privat skype accounts which are registered with the same ad email adress

Ok, so you are saying that when he searches for users they are coming up with Skype accounts as opposed to Teams accounts which they should have. So these users have previously used their corporate emails with Skype
