Changing the default tab of a channel
Hello,
is it possible to change the tab, that is initially opened, when you switch the channel to the tasks - tab? I did not find a way to achieve this, but I have a variety of channels in place and would always like to start with the respective task tab of this channel.

ALLOW SPECIFYING A DEFAULT TAB ON TEAMS CHANNEL.
It is pretty ridiculous that the ability to set a default tab has been a feature request for well over two years. There is no reasonable or intuitive reason as to why a channel's content owner should be restricted from setting the default tab for a channel that channel users are directed to.
What gives? Make this SIMPLE FEATURE get delivered in a future release.
I continually have to inform folks that have bene invited to my channels to look to the Notes/Wiki tabs for all the posted content on the channel instead of them being automatically presented the tab when they navigate to the channel. THIS IS SO STUPID IT HURTS.- I can only assume this is a conscious decision on Microsoft's part, since it's an easy change request.

It seems like it would be an easy fix. Maybe an enhancement request was submitted, and now we just wait for the magic. Maybe. It could happen eventually.
- When will allowing users to choose the default tab in a Microsoft Teams Team Channel be released? In trying to find out how to perform this seemingly simple task, all I have found are threads from the past three (3) years where users have had to go out of their way to ask, request, and practically beg for this functionality to be added into the offering.
- Same here. This would be a great feature to have. I would rather have an Excel document displayed as our channel default page.
- Remember, gang. MS has a long history of disregarding customer desires. To the typical, normal, business person this will seem strange, even nonsensical, but it all goes back to when Gates steered the ship and they were actively avoiding anti-trust litigation. They literally started adding difficulties to their products instead of improvements, and it seems to persist to this day. For this reason, EVERY new version of EVERY product requires how to guides for some of the most basic functions (that loyal users have been doing for years in the previous versions). And for that reason, the most obvious improvements, such as tab default selection, is about as likely to happen as porcine aviation.
PeterMichael Training porcine pilots is more likely to happen than having them grow wings. A good first step would be to change the default keyboard to one accommodating hooves.
- If this is true, I feel better at least knowing why a stupid thing is happening. At least I can wrap my head around it and maybe live with a workaround rather than anticipating something that will likely never happen. 😕 Thank you.

Good to know this request is 3 years old and both of those Feedback-options aren't available anymore.
I don't feel like searching more right now, but I'll guess I'll look later if someone posted a new "votable" feedback on this, otherwise post one myself.
But I'm pretty sure it will also be ignored into nonexistence for the next 10 years. Yey. Cheers.
