Android App notifications ignore Teams "Do Not Disturb" status

When I set teams on Do Not Disturb status or have an out of office message up for vacation, I still get all of the Teams chat notifications in my Android apps. Why doesn't "Do Not Disturb" status block notifications for my account on all of the Teams apps & clients?

This is super annoying. I'm in the middle of a presentation showing my phone screen, and all of a sudden I get a constant stream of chat notifications even though I'm on do not disturb. Even worse on a vacation day, constantly clearing chat notifications.
