Auto filling Microsoft Form from Excel
Hi all
I am hoping to use Microsoft forms as an inspection sheet platform.
What I want to do is to use power automate to prefill a Microsoft form with information from an Excel spreadsheet. The sheet will contain a register of businesses we inspect. Power automate will take information from that sheet (business name/address/contact person) and prefill the form with that information. The idea is that an officer in the field on a mobile device can open the register in SharePoint and create an inspection sheet with the business's details prefilled. Is this a possible use case?

Dan_Mag this is not possible. There is no way to pre-fill anything in Microsoft Forms and it can't look up data from other applications. And there is no action in Power Automate to send data from Excel to Forms, a flow can only get a form response.

From May 2024, there is a way to pre-populate Microsoft Forms by the new Pre-Filled-Url option.
You can find a way to let PowerAutomate read your excell and send in pre-filled questions in your URL.
(Perhaps you can better use and update a SharePoint list instead of Excell.)

marcelmarnix yes I know, if you look at the date of my post you'll see it was before the introduction of the pre-filled URL.
