Trying to get support in reseting Authenticator MFA

Hello! We are locked out of our tenant's admin center as our authenticator installed device has been reset by mistake.

I contacted our call MS service phone number (211 18 13 880) in Greece, but the AI bot is unable to record the case as it cannot vocally identify the admin user account and domain of our tenant, finally it terminates the call.

There is no direct contact email or phone to human support from the data protection team. How are we supposed to handle this case further?

  • Your blocker is administrator access after the Authenticator device reset, compounded by the telephone system failing to capture your tenant details. First check “Sign in another way” for an authentication method already registered. If another appropriately privileged administrator can sign in, ask them to manage your authentication methods and require MFA registration again. If every administrator is locked out, use Microsoft’s current business support telephone list; its support article specifically warns that numbers have changed. Explain that this is tenant administrator MFA recovery and that automated account recognition prevents case creation. Call from your organization’s registered number where possible, and have the tenant domain, administrator username and subscription details ready for private verification. If all subscriptions were purchased through a partner, contact that partner for support. The community cannot reset tenant authentication or guarantee a direct Data Protection contact.
