Your message wasn't delivered because the recipient's email provider rejected it

Dear all,

Recently, I registered 1 account Office 365 trial to experience O365 E3 version before bought it, I create a sharepoint site, upload some document and share with somebody, both the same and diffrence trial domain & gmail also. The share function working well, but email notification seem to be getting issue as below. Please help to advise me.

PS: I search some conversation get the same my issue and they advise ask recipient admin unblock some policies and mechanisms that block my Office 365 email address and directly contact the recipient’s admin for support. I'm IT person and I believe there is no any specific policy that block my trial domain.

  • alecsu2017 I believe MS has made some changes and you can no longer send emails from an .onmicrosoft.com email address.

Add and verify a domain and you should be able to send emails with that email address.

i figured this from experiencing the same issues with multiple tenants.

DeepakRandhawa This explains it. I have been receiving this delivery message whenever I use the on.microsoft domain but not with other email domains like gmail or Outlook.

It seems from reading through this thread that the issue has happened again. I’ve been fine until just yesterday band I’m getting the same reject message.

I had the same issue and, I spoke the Microsoft support. The rep. gave me this solution below that worked for me-

    1. Login to Admin panel

    2. Under Admin Center Click on "Security"

    3. Click on "Threat Management"

    4. Click on "Policy" under Threat Management

    5. Click on "Anti Spam"

    6. Expand "Outbound spam filter policy"

    7. Click on "Edit Policy"

    8. Expand "Automatic forwarding"

    9. Put in on "On- Forwarding is enabled"

    10. Save and close the window.

    Thanks 🙂

  • That's the default message you get when the sender's IP is blocked. Which should not happen if the sender is O365, but oh well :) Open a support case and report it, nothing else you can do.

Same issue started a few hours ago for me. The below is what I have received from every email I send via the Mail app on Windows 10. Using same mail app but sending from gmail and organisation account I have no issues. I have also attempted to send emails to a variety of domains.

Email from browser and iPhone work fine. Have uninstalled and reinstalled app, along with removed outlook account and added back again. No success.

*Note: have used asterisks to protect recipient email, email was typed correctly in original attempt*

I seem to have the same problem. I'm to learn how to use SharePoint and develop apps, reports and create workflows by using a free 30 day account with MS

Has anyone had any luck on a solution or do I have a different problem?

I've been experimenting the same behavior. I just created the Tenant (Office 365 E1 Trial) and when creating appointmente through MS Teams, the email is not delivered to the people I'm inviting (outside of the organization).

    What am I missing here?

    Regards,

I have found out that it only says it with public email and not private ones.
If you attempt to email a popular public domain such as ‘gmail’ then it will show that message
If you email a private or organisation domain it won’t show the message.

I just experienced this issue, trying to forward to my wife's outlook.com email address (we both have Outlook email addresses)  A notification from Paypal was forwarded, and rejected numerous times.  Other emails I sent to her as a test, are accepted. She has accepted me as a safe sender and domain.  I reset her Spam/Junk to Low.    We've both been using the Outlook accounts for several months now, and until today, without issue.

    Hello,

I am currently experiencing this kind of problem. May I know how did you resolve this?

Ricky_Q   This is unresolvable, by anyone other than Microsoft, and they don't seem to give a crap.

alecsu2017 The issue can be as simple as having a VPN on that changes the IP address of your machine. If you have one on try switching it off and check if you can send emails once more.
